We all were running in different directions this weekend. My Mom, Sarah and I enjoyed the day shopping at new lifestyle mall in our area.....we finally got a real mall around here with some of the good stores....before the new mall we would have to drive into Philly for great shopping!
The intent was to shop for some summer clothes for myself....I would like a couple of new things before our trip to Las Vegas. It was a beautiful day out and Sarah was in a good mood and pretty content in her stroller.....not always the case! Unfortunately, I did not shop for myself.....I was having one of those days and could not find anything that I liked, so I bought summer clothes for everyone else in the family.
I think I have a problem when it comes to shopping for Sarah......I cannot pass up the cute stuff they make for little girls! She has so much in her closet, but every time I walk into a store I can't help myself! Take a peek at some of the must haves that were on the sale rack! I am in love with the hat!
While we were shopping, Pat enjoyed a round of golf with a good friend. The last place Pat wants to be on a Saturday is a shopping mall!
Nick enjoyed going to the Phillies game with his friend Patrick. They were lucky enough to get baseballs signed by Jamie Moyer! Even though the Phillies lost, they had a great day!
I thought I post a picture of why you should never take a pair of scissors to your child's hair unless you are a trained and licensed stylist! Gotta love it....a little short and on an angle! It looks worse when it is all down.....she'll be wearing it up for a while thanks to Mommy!
And last but not least, Sarah has pushed her toys aside to learn how to play Black Jack! I think she is trying to drop a hint that she would like to come along with Mommy and Daddy on their trip to Las Vegas!

I can so relate to this post. I am always buying my kids and hubby clothes. In fact, I bought Kamree a new pair of black and white printed capri pants at Old Navy tonight, which she certainly did not need! However, I thought they would be perfect for her first airplane ride next week!
Sarah's hair doesn't look bad at all! You are being way too hard on yourself!
Love the outfits and I totally understand the need to buy girl clothes. My girls have way too many clothes but so do I. Their girls, right!
I love blackjack, I may have to come over and take Sarah on! : )
Oh...me too (about always shopping for my little one when I should be shopping for me!) My "problem" is not the mall (ours around here are so crappy), but the internet. I must say, I have been 'behaving' (with the whole shopping thing) since our agency informed us that we might be hearing something on Sofia within the next few months...
BTW...love the outfits and the hat is way too cute!
I can't wait to buy little girl stuff, it's so cute. I stopped buying things because I just needed to step back a little, but watch out when we get close to referral.
Vegas! What fun, we got married in Vegas!!!
I'm with you -- there are so many cute clothes out there for little girls! What adorable outfits for such a cute girl!! Her hair looks adorable!! Sounds like everyone had a fun weekend.

I can't resist when I see clothes for Briana either. I think I need an intervention - LOL!
Sarah's hair looks so cute!
Hey Lisa...are LID is 4/20/07 but we submitted a medical conditions checklist aka MCC with our agency back in Oct 2007 (what it means is that Sofia will be a 'waiting child' aka WC or as others label, special needs aka SN). From what our agency is telling us is that it is taking about 8-10 months to hear something from when your MCC is accepted (that's why they are telling us that it can happen soon ..) I hope I didn't freek you out too much...I know this wait is so long and hard. We have friends who are LID in 3/06 and they are at their witts end. I can't begin to understand what you guys are going through. Our referral for Francesca took 7 month (LID 2/05 ref 9/05) and that was the group (our group) that was the start of this whole back up....I am not sure what happened, but it is not an easy road...
My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you guys at this time during your wait. And if there is ever anything you have a question about, just drop me a line. I would be more than happy to lend a helping hand or an ear to listen to...
LOVE that swimsuit cover-up (or is it a dress?). I am always buying clothes for my girls, even if I go out intending to buy something for myself :-)
Such a cute post! I love your whole blog and adorable family!! I can't tell you thank you enough for all your supportive commetns..God Bless YOU!!
Several things:
1. Those outfits!! OMG. So freakin' cute!! I am in BIG trouble if I have a little girl.
2. Going from a six-month projected wait to a 36-month wait would KILL me. I am SO sorry you're going through this. *hugs*
3. I think we have the exact same taste in home furnishings. Every time I look at your pictures, I see some piece of furniture or pillow that looks identical to something I own. Crazy. :)
4. I am super sick today. Barfing sick. I think it's all the meds. Ugh. I just don't have the energy to blog. Ugh.
Oh Vegas... please, please, please can I go with you??? I know lots and lots about Vegas... I could be your guide... we have a piece of land outside Vegas - I will let you visit it - hint, hint... hehehehe... Where are you staying? Oh... now you are making me want to go and I just came back... What goes on in Vegas, stays in Vegas... hehehe
Thank you for visiting my blog! It is certainly a work in progress.... I am not sure how the blog got on "China Adoption Stories" webpage, but I'm glad you found it! And blessings on your journey...... I will be looking in.
I love to shop for my girls and as a matter of fact I just bought some clothes for them tonight. I love Children's Place and Old Navy.
Hey, I may be in Philly at the end of July. You'll have to give me some shopping tips!
