It was a scorching hot day today......I believe we hit over 90 Degrees for the first time this year! The heat and humidity was calling for a refreshing happy hour drink....so this was the drink this evening......I am usually a wine drinker, but sometimes I like a mixed drink....and thanks to Pat who always keeps our bar completely stocked.....this is what I came up. I am always trying to come up with drinks that are low in calories, so this was the recipe......vodka, with some light cranberry juice and spr.ite zero and a squeeze of lime juice.....it was delicious and hit the spot!
Shelly and her girls came over tonight for a girls night! We all had dinner and as you can see.... the two of us are enjoying our drinks too! Her two girls love to hang out with Sarah.....so they kept her busy all night!

What would a girls night be without a ride in a pink jeep! Mackenzie is giving Sarah some rules of the road!
I guess the girls had some car trouble.....since Sarah isn't old enough to drive, she gave them the push they needed to get moving again!

It was really hot here in Chicago today. I could of used a drink. My oldest son was a bartender during his college days so I use him when he comes over to visit. He makes a mean Mojito! : )

The drink sounds great! I used to drink a "seabreeze", at least that is what I called it - gin, cranberry juice and grapefruit juice. I would definitely need to lighten it up some too. I now drink red wine 99% of the time (since before it was cool - 1983)!

Yesterday WAS a hot one....BUT WHAT ABOUT TODAY??? I can't beleive that about a week ago I was complaining tat summer would never come!!!
