Saturday night after dinner we decided to take a walk up the street to the local vineyard!
{Love this picture, hate the powerlines...but didn't have it in me to try to photoshop them out}
Where we live we are pretty much surrounded by cornfields, but less than a mile away is a local winery!! I thought it would be fun to go and check out the rows and rows of trees that are growing the grapes that will eventually be turned into wine!!
I thought it was smart to wait until after dinner to head up there, but it was brutally hot and humid so we decided to "cop a squat"{I always loved that line in Pretty Woman}in the field about half way there. It was the perfect place for a little water break.
By the time we made it all the way up to the rows and rows of beautiful trees, someone was a little grumpy and did not want to stand up on her own two feet......she was tuckered out from our walk{Even though I carried her a good part of the way}
I didn't plan to have a whole barrage of photos of Nick and Sarah sitting in the same place, but they looked so cute, I couldn't help but continue to capture the interchange between the two them.
It was hard to narrow down my selection this week, so I just decided to post them all in color and black and white{By now, I am sure you figured that out}
They both gave me the "Mom, please put your camera away" look:)
And while big brother was fixing her sandals, I got one very big and beautiful smile before I slipped the camera back in my bag for the trek back home!!
The whole time we were up there, I kept looking at Sarah in that ruffly dress and the flower in her hair and all I could think of was the "I Love Lucy" episode when they were in Italy. Do you remember that episode?
Luckily all the grapes remained on the trees and none of them were under their feet.......although they probably would have loved to stomp the grapes like Lucy did when she went to visit the winery!!

Wow. I just LOVE that last shot. You can catch a glimpse of the spunkiness of he personality.
The second to last B+W one makes me smile. Sarah;s expression (and her hand on her hip) are delightful.
Gorgeous Lisa! I loved that episode of I Love Lucy... so funny! Your trek was well worth it. You got some really awesome pictures of your two little cutie pies. Your so lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the NE. Love the first one of them holding hands. Looking at these makes me want to open up a bottle of vino and enjoy!
Those are two beautiful children! What, you already knew that?
Wonderful photos.
Delightful series Lisa! Your two are so cute together - love the one where Sarah is cradled in Nick's arms. But the last one is stunning. I think it's my all-time favorite of Sarah. Her expression - everything is so perfect.
What a great place to live in and be able to take a stroll right down the middle of the road. I know what you mean about the power lines. I try so hard to not include them in my backyard. Still that road shot is great!
(Psst.....I've been shooting in manual lately. It's coming!)
Have a great Wednesday my friend!
xoxo
I love the first picture! wonderful shots!
Great pictures! I love Sarah's dress. She and Nick are both looking tall in the picture of them walking. They are growing up so quick.

Oh, I would love that to be my back yard. I would have an outside dining room and live out there :) These are some of my favorite pics of Nick and Sarah!
The sun is so glorious in those shots :) They're the best looking brother and sister duo I've seen! And you're right, every picture has a different, but awesome exchange between the two! Love it!
How fun to have this vineyard so close! I love these pictures and the sweet expressions on Sarah's face!
Happy Hump Day!

BEAUTIFUL!!!
Today I can only see one picture and no links! Ugh...my brother promised he is coming this weekend! Can you link me up when you have a chance. We had an awful storm and our yard is littered with limbs, etc...so I will be cleaning that all day! Have a great day Lisa~
I miss such beautiful scenery! These shots are so lovely and calm...I can almost hear all the little critters, too.
Cracking up thinking of Lucy!

What a great series of photos! I wouldn't have been able to pick either... and I'm actually glad you posted them all since the progression is just so sweet!
(And I'm back in the game after a very long hiatus...)
it is hard to pick and choose sometimes when you end up with a lot of good shots...these are wonderful and the grapevines & cornfields make a wonderful backdrop.
Love, LOVE, every single photo! Amazing! My family has a special thing for vineyards so I really enjoyed looking at this! Beautiful!!
Thanks for sharing!
Your photography absolutely takes my breath away.
I LOVE that location ... love it, love it!! I would have a hard time picking just one picture as well. They all turned so crazy cute. Love the last picture of Sarah.

So beautiful!!!! Soft and lovely!
I need to take EK walking near our corn fields! :)
Blessings!
LOVE the pictures!!! AWESOME!
Beautiful photos, as usual! I particularly love the one in which they are looking at each other and the one that Sarah is laughing. It reminds me of playing with my older brother when we were kids. We only had a year and a half between us, so we fought a lot. But when we played together, we had so much fun.
Lisa I miss your work so much on flickr, I am so glad I finally made a blog so I can follow your work. You are such an inspiration,your blog is incredible. This is such a beautiful series, love the location, beautiful in everyway!

Love love love these!!! You have such talent and such beautiful kids too!!! I am SO incredibly envious of where you live. There are a million great locations for shoots. In my city...there are no vineyards or orchards or corn fields or barns. it makes it very tough:)
