I can't believe it was has been an entire week since I posted..... Time is just flying by and there doesn't seem to be quite enough hours in the day.
We are now officially a few days away from the journey of a lifetime and my stomach is doing flip flops and my head feels like it is spinning like a top. I was up at 4am yesterday because I just couldn't lay there and stare at the ceiling any longer. The nerves and anxiousness have kicked into high gear and I seriously cannot sit still. Not sure how I am going to manage 16 hours on the plane knowing that I will be only hours away from meeting my girl when I land in China.
I had a really productive weekend and managed to get Reagan completely packed and got a good start on my suitcase. In addition, I finally have her room ready....... for the most part.
There are still a few things that I want to do/finish, but I couldn't find the things that I had in mind. Does that ever happen to you? You have an idea, but then you can't find what you are looking for anywhere. I hit a few road blocks, but I think for now it will do.
I used the two dressers that were already in our guest bedroom, we just removed the bed and brought in the crib that belonged to my nephew. He is now happily in a big boy bed:)
The room was inspired by this crib bedding. Just weeks before we got the call, I found this set and fell in love with it.
Frames from Targ@t filled with scrapbook paper, decorated with ribbon, and an uppercase living quote that has been in my closet for three years turned out to be very cute on the big wall behind her crib!
After failing to find panels that I liked, I found this black and white fabric at Joanne's and made them myself to go over the roman shade that was already hanging on the window that just happened to match:) The little "blessings" plaque was from Hobby Lobby...... yes, after all this time, we finally have a Hobby Lobby...HOORAY!!!!
This room does not have the best light....I was trying to take a few pictures that would give you a good view of the entire room, so I tried to shoot this one in the mirror. I didn't use my flash, so I had to crank up my ISO, hence all the grain/noise in all of the photos.
I found this lamp at HomeGoods and thought it looked perfect in the corner. I thought the shape of the shade was pretty.
The white dress hanging on the coat rack was Sarah's christening gown...... Reagan will be soon be wearing it on her special day. I should have gotten a close up so you could see all the detail. I will have to save that for the day she wears it.
And I had to end with one of my favorite photos.....and frames!!
I believe she will be blessing us in many many ways~
So that is the quick tour around her room. I am happy with the way it turned out, but I will be happier when I open the door and see Reagan in there.
I will probably get one more post in before we leave and I plan to post as much as I can to document our trip to China. With any luck, you will all see her in my arms by Sunday night US Time.
4 Days and Counting!!!!
A special thanks to all the bloggy friends and family who sent us goodies that are sprinkled throughout Reagan's room. We love and treasure all of them.
BTW, I realize that I kind of cheated this week..... but I figured there was enough black and white in her room to give me a pass on actually converting a photo to all black and white.

Thrilled for you. Praying for a safe and wonderful trip!
Oh Lisa...my hands are just shaking as I try to put words to my feelings. I'm just so darned excited for you. Reagan's room is so perfect - in every way. I love the "miracle" on the wall and all your special touches. If you're missing something - I don't what it could be. Other than your sweet baby girl!!
Enjoy everything there is of this crazy, God-blessed adventure of a life-time. I can't wait for your post from China - with Reagan in your arms. I may need a box of kleenex for that one.
Bon voyage, my dear friend.
xoxoxoxoxo
Oh, her room is gorgeous! The crib bedding is just divine... I love that particular shade of green with the cream and black (dark brown?). Everything is in place now waiting for Reagan.
I wish you all the best in your trip to China and here's to a smooth come-home journey for Reagan!
What an amazing room! SO beautiful! I can not wait to see Reagans face filling that room with pure joy! Enjoy every moment of your journey and everything that comes with it. You will be in our constant prayers and we will be anxiously waiting for updates! Many, many hugs Lisa!
I'm so excited for you! Praying you have safe travels and can't wait to see pictures of her in your arms!
I literally have tears in my eyes...your excitement brings back so many wonderful memories for me. Right down to the baptismal gown hanging in her room (Amelia's was next to her crib waiting for her too).
Good luck and safe travels!
Her room is gorgeous, but it will be wonderful when she is there safe and sound playing with Nick and Sarah!
Oh goodness!...that's what I get for staying away for so long... but glad I stopped back in ontime to read that you are leaving to bring your sweet girl home! Can't wait to follow on your journey...it has been a long time coming and I'm SOOOOOOOOO excited for you!! Enjoy every single moment ...it will fly by! Before you know it, you will be tucking your little Sweetie into her GORGEOUS room!! Praying for happy, health and safe travels!! <><
Blessings & Hugs,
~Tanya
Her room looks amazing! I love all of the little details and the way they all come together is just beautiful. I remember feeling like a huge bundle of nervous energy before/during travel. It helped alot in getting things done, but did nothing to help with sleep. I was just thinking of you earlier today and how close you are to travel. I'd let out a little squeal right now but a certain little girl is sleeping a few feet away.
Gin =)
Not cheating at all, that room (with all the beautiful black and white) is absolutely lovely).
Safe travels my friend. Absolutely cannot wait to see a picture (or 100 -- no pressure though, heehee) of you in China.
xo,
M3
The room is perfect... love it...
I will be in China (whoops I meant Colorado - wish it were China though) with limited computer access... when I can I am going to pop onto this site and see how it is going. Until then... safe travels and you and Marla need to keep out of trouble...
Take care - I am SO incredibly happy for you!!!
I love the black & white room! Amazing - come decorate my apartment!
The room is gorgeous...however,every single loving touch you have put into Reagan's room pales in comparison to every single loving moment you have waited for your daughter from across the world to join all of you.
I know this journey has been far longer and far harder than the one you set out upon over 4+ years ago. Remember, thought, that along this seemingly interminable journey, your love for your wonderful husband has strengthened; your handsome son has grown strong and wise and the miracle of your beautiful daughter, Sarah, all came to pass.
And now, Lisa, as you embark on the journey of Reagan's lifetime (and your own!)...enjoy every single minute, even the hard ones...because those are the stepping stones of your tomorrows...together, as a family of 5.
I look forward to being together on Friday...all of us...and hugging you and Marla as you (and that incredible friend or ours) step off this continent and go get that little angel of yours.
I will officially be holding my breath starting....NOW!
All my love...safe travels to you and that crazy (stunningly gorgeous) Texan!
China SaCURRRITY...batten down the hatches...the girls are ON THEIR WAY!
xoxoxo

I can´t help it, a little tear is rolling down my cheek, I´m so touched and so happy for you!
Bless you!
First time linking up, and just want to say how happy I am for you! So exciting. Wishing you safe travel! And the room is gorgeous. :)
I LOVE LOVE her room!!! Just perfect. I can't believe it is only two days away!!!! And then two mere weeks later, she'll be (kinda) sleeping her that room!! lol.
Your waiting is nearly over, and in the waiting you have been so busy. Her room looks beautiful.
Have a safe journey and I am looking forward to seeing Baby Reagan in your arms.
Take care. xxx
Tears in my eyes reading this... you are blessed, Reagan is blessed.
The room is beautiful, you've gone to soooo much bother, but I agree, Reagan will be the joy that will complete it.
She will love seeing her photo all over the place.
Lisa, i have butterflies in MY stomach, thinking about you many times each day, and sending love and light your way.
I'm sure that my excitement is only a pinprick compared to the floodlight of yours. Do try to rest on the plane, it will be the last opportunity for a long time!
What can I say that Dita hasn't? :-) I'm so happy for you and cannot wait until I see the first photos of Reagan in your arms. Have a safe and uneventful trip. Hugs to you my friend!
Grace
There are no words left to describe what I see.
I wish you all the best on your trip to China and may your family be continously blessed with happiness and everything else that you need and want.
BTW, I really love what's behind the crib about miracles. I'm sure Reagan and Sarah will grown up believing in them.
-Nathalie
What a beautiful room, that bedding is gorgeous! I've been thinking of you, wish I was going too we loved our time in China.
One tip on the packing, put at least one outfit of Reagan's in your case and vice-versa that way if a case gets lost you both have a change of clothes while you wait for it to turn up. Not that your case is going to get lost, but you know its like taking an umbrella if you have one with you it won't rain :)
Can't wait to see those first photos of you together!
Can't believe the day has finally come. Have a wonderful & safe trip.
Her room is perfect...all that is missing is sweet Reagan. I am teary just thinking about you meeting her so very soon. If we don't get a chance to talk before you go, just know I will be praying for you each and every day...love and hugs~
That turned out soooo cute! I especially love the expression and frames! Everything looks perfect!
Enjoy your last few days getting ready for your sweet brown eyed girl! I can't wait to see her in your arms!
Her room is gorgeous! So happy for you!!!
LOVE IT!!! It is wonderful!!! I love the bedding...and the frames...and the "miracles" decal..everything!! I'm so happy for you and can't wait to follow your journey and see that precious baby in your arms!! Whoo Hoo!!!
I am so happy for you and your family. This trip will be an amazing and life changing time. I will never forget the moment that I saw Sophia for the first time, or when they placed her in my arms. China is captivating, but so very different from here. I saw such beauty there and at the same time repression.
You have waited so long for your daughter. My heart just goes out to you. I can't wait to see you together :)
The room is beautiful and I'm so happy about your upcoming trip! Can't wait to e-meet her. Lots of hugs and good wishes.
her room looks beautiful. i remember your post when you found those adorable shoes in Sarah's old bins...they are smashing and look so sweet on the dresser.
have a safe trip...enjoy your little blessing that is Reagan.
Mindy
Oh Lisa! I wanted to cry tears of joy when i saw the pictures of Reagan's room! She is going to love it and she has a mommy with wonderful taste!

Dude. I am SO excited for you! I LOVE her room - *I* would be thrilled with a room decorated like that! Wowsers! Beautiful! Can't wait to see photos of her in the crib with a huge smile on her face! Lovely!
What a beautiful room! I have been quietly following your journey for some time now and just wanted to say how excited I am for your family.
The room is gorgeous! Every detail is perfect. Your post reminds me of the excitement when my sister and her husband went to China to adopt their two daughters J and H, who are now 7 and 5. Takes me back! Praying for safety and blessings!
You must be smiling from ear to ear (I am) I am so super happy for you and your family and for that little blessing...I cannot wait to meet her!
Prayers and well wishes for you as you travel!
xoxo
Janet
Well you are almost there, your journey to Reagan is about complete. Her room is perfect and made with such love. You can see it in all the little details.
As you get ready to embark on truly a trip of a lifetime, let me say from my own experience in China, to live in each moment fully. Many of them will be emotional. I know you 'get it' Lisa and your love for Reagan has gotten you through this wait.
Take care if yourself my friend.
Cannot wait to see that first post from China with Marla by your side.
You 3 will be in my thoughts and prayers to stay safe and healthy.
xoxoxo

What a blessing for you and your family. Have a safe trip.
It is gorgeous Lisa....absolutely gorgeous!! Praying for your trip...I never slept on plane and received Lottie a few hours after landing...lots of jet lag but lots of snuggling:) Praying for you my friend.

Janet
This is just beautiful, and I truly wish you all the best at such a wonderful time.
I am re-living my China journey again through you. It is such an amazing process when you finally get to this stage. So unique in the "delivery" of this child who is more aware and developed than your prior two experiences. I also had a domestic adoption while waiting for my daughter, being handed newborn was intensely moving and watching new life come into the world and being the first person to touch him seemed like a direct hand off frm G*d.
Having my daughter handed to me and realizing this was always a part of a divine plan was awe inspiring in a different way. You realize, this soul was meant to be with your soul and the road to uniting was more challenging as a part of your life paths story.
Each lovely, each unique and divine.
Happiness doesn't begin to describe what I am feeling for you and your family.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Valerie
The room is gorgeous! What a labor of love! I am so excited for you and your family and I am looking forward to following along your journey.

What an incredible story.
