Last weekend with temps around 39 Degrees, we attempted to get out for some fresh air.
It lasted all of 5 minutes before we realized this was probably not a good idea.
The arctic air was moving in and so was the snow. The kids have spent more time at home this week than they have in school. At this rate, school may still be in session on the 4th of July.
This winter has been brutal and we are beginning to climb the walls. I think the girls have built every lego set in the house and we have gone through all of the arts and crafts in our bin. We downloaded some new apps on the iPads for them, but even that is getting old.
I know we are not alone, this has been a rough winter for everyone, but it certainly does not do much for the mood. January and February are always the most difficult months for me and with the weather this year, it seems even more difficult to work through the winter blues.
I am not myself. I really could use a nice dose of warm weather and sunshine, but it doesn't look as though I will be getting that any time soon. The 10 day forecast is looking quite bitter. Stay warm my friends!!! How many more days until Spring? I wish we could fast forward :)

So far we don't have any school to make up at the end, but still, I am more than ready for Spring. :) Stay warm, girl!
Oh my - snow days. We don't do many of those here. Even with all that snow- I still people out in shorts & t-shirts. Must be acclimated. I still bundle.
Stay warm!!!
I am frozen after just driving my daughter to school! I'm over this weather and can't wait for Spring!
39? Sounds tropical compared to the -7 here now!
This is the very reason I don't think I could move to a cold place. I'd be banging my head against the wall or spending all of my money on a trip to somewhere warm! :) Lovely picture though!
Hi! i live in the north of italy and we usually have chilly winters... but not this year. winter is still long though, so i'm waiting for frozen air and snowy days...

There is always a spot in my home for you if you'd like to escape. Even though it's technically cold for us (high 60's day/40 night), the sun is shining. More like spring in your world.
Stay warm my friend. The cold weather will be gone before you know it.
xoxo
Lovely photos. I've posted a nice warm photo to keep your spirits up. Keep warm!
They are so sweet together!
I feel for you Lisa. Even though I love snow so much, I know it makes life hard when you've to work through it. So schools over there add on snow days at the end of the school year? We never used to, but after the last snow the Dept of Ed warned that if schools closed, days would have to be made up. Sucks! Luckily, we've had no snow since then!
Keep warm, my friend, and very soon it will be spring and those little shoots will be pushing through.
I love how Sarah looks at Reagan in the first photo...so much love between those two.
I love the lighting of your photos and the fall theme. Your children look so adorable with their cheeky smiles.
